Coupons are a great way to save money on your grocery shopping, but you get the most value out of them if they are organized. Creating a coupon book is a great way to organize your coupons. This way you can easily keep track of what coupons you have instead of rummaging through a pile of unorganized coupons. This is sure to increase the amount you save on your grocery shopping. You can make a very simple coupon book that is purely practical or dress it up to be pretty and cute.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • clear plastic CD pouches
  • hole punch
  • binder
  • decorating materials
  • pen
  • labels
  1. Step 1

Organize your materials. To make the simplest coupon book you will need a number of clear plastic CD pouches, a binder, pen and labels.

  2. Step 2

Decide on your coupon categories. To organize your coupons you will need to store them in categories. Example categories would be: cheese, meat, butter, laundry, cleaning, cereal, bread, dessert, toiletries, pasta, soup, fruit and vegetables. Having a good breakdown in your coupon book makes it easy to find the coupons your are looking for and make it more likely that you will use them. The result is that you save more money on your grocery shopping.

  3. Step 3

Label each section. Once you have decided what categories you want in your coupon book attach a label to a CD pouch.

  4. Step 4

Put your coupons in your coupon book as you cut them. When you are cutting your coupons out of the paper put the coupon in its appropriate pouch straight away. This way you don't end up with a large pile of coupons to sort through and you will have a better idea of what coupons you have.

  5. Step 5

Bring your coupon book with you to the supermarket. Hopefully your coupon book will be small enough to fit in your hand bag.

  6. Step 6

Use your coupons. Don't forget to use the coupons you have in your coupon book. Using coupons can save you money on your groceries.

  7. Step 7

Clean out your coupon book. Do a regular clean out of your coupon to get rid of expired coupons.

  8. Step 8

Get fancy. If you enjoy crafts you may want to dress up your coupon book so that is looks more pretty.
