Make Root beer Float
Make Root beer Float

I remember going to A&W as a kid and getting there root beer floats and nothing is better on a warm summer evening, while watching a movie.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lg. Soda glass
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Root Beer (preferably A&W)
  1. Step 1

If you plan this ahead and have glass mugs put them in the freezer for a couple of hours or overnight. When the glass comes out of the freezer it is all frosty and just adds to the whole experience. Get enough glasses, spoons, and straws out for each person. Take out an ice cream scoop or lg spoon for the ice cream.

  2. Step 2

With your glasses lined up take the vanilla ice cream and put scoops in each glass filling to the top. Take your straw and stick it down on the side of the glass and add the spoon to the other side.

  3. Step 3

The final step here is to slowly pour root beer into the glasses. You may need to fill each glass then come back and fill them again do to the pop fizzing up. At this point all is left to do is drink and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pay attention to the foam coming up if you are not careful it will pour over the side before you have a chance to do anything.

on 4/12/2009 Sounds soooo delicious, I love root beer, it goes with everything. I also love ice cream so this article pretty much combined the best of both worlds for me, lol.
