After both Nero and DVD Shrink are installed open up DVD Shrink. Insert the DVD you would like to copy into your DVD drive. Click on Open Disc and choose the DVD you would like to copy from the drop down menu.

After the DVD has been analyzed click the Backup button. The software will first ask you where you would like to put the temporary files, choosing an empty folder is a good idea. For some DVDs it will ask what region it is protected in. If it was purchased in the US it should be Region 1. If you are not sure what region it is just skip this step.

Depending on the DVD it may take 30 min to 1 hour to backup the disc on your Hard Drive. After this is finished you will need to put in a blank DVD-R to copy the files to. After this is done you will have a backup of your DVD.
