Rust stains can be romoved from clothing.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lemons
  • Rock or Sea salt
  1. Step 1

When you find a rust stain on a piece of clothing, specially if it is a favorite piece such as a shirt, blouse, linens, etc., most of the time we think that it is ruined. Here is what you can do to save it. Get a yellow lemon and cut it in half and add the rock or sea salt to one half of the lemon.

  2. Step 2

Take the half of the lemon that has the salt and rub on the area where the rust stain is. Make sure that the stain gets soaked with the lemon juice and the salt.

  3. Step 3

After you have rubbed on the lemon and salt, take the garment outside and allow it to dry. Make sure that it is exposed to the sun for about 3 to 4 hours.

  4. Step 4

Bring the garment inside and wash as usual. If the stain is not removed, repeat the process. This works on white and light colored fabrics.
