Things You'll Need:
- Sheer Cover Foundation
- Face Cleanser
- Moisturizer
- Makeup Primer (optional)
- Water-filled Spray Bottle (optional)
- Kabuki Brush
-
Step 1
Cleanse your face.
Prior to applying any makeup, it's important to cleanse your face to get rid of any dirt and oil that is on your skin's surface. -
Step 2
Moisturize your face.
To help the Sheer Cover makeup apply more smoothly and evenly, dab a bit of moisturizer on your fingers and rub it into your face. -
Step 3
Put on your makeup primer.
This is an optional step because not everybody likes to use primers. If you prefer to use them, now is the time to put it on. Moisturizers and primers are not the same thing. -
Step 4
Get your Kabuki brush ready.
A Kabuki brush is a great tool to use to apply Sheer Cover mineral foundation. It allows you to pick up a lot of product if you need more coverage. Spritz the brush with water or something similar. There are companies, like MAC, who make products that help the makeup application process. MAC makes an item called Fix+, but I just use water for now. This will moisten your brush just a bit to help the Sheer Cover glide on better. -
Step 5
Load your Kabuki with Sheer Cover.
Tip your Sheer Cover foundation tub upside down and shake a little bit of the mineral makeup foundation into the top (the lid), unscrew the top and then use the foundation that is in the lid. This helps so that you don't use too much product on your face. Dip the brush into the makeup, and kind of swirl it around to get enough product. -
Step 6
Apply Sheer Cover foundation.
What I like to do is first dab the Sheer Cover foundation onto my forehead, each cheek, my nose and my chin. After I've dabbed it on, I buff the Sheer Cover foundation into my skin using circular motions all around my face until the makeup has blended into my skin and it looks even.
