Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1-1/3 cup shea butter
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp vitamin e
  • Medium saucepan

In the saucepan, heat the shea butter over a low heat until it reaches liquid form. Do not let the shea butter heat up too fast. Once liquid form is achieved, remove the saucepan from the heat.

Add the olive oil to the shea butter and allow the mixture to cool in the saucepan for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, add the vitamin e.

  4. Step 4

Using a hand-held mixer, whip the ingredients until it has a very light texture. Transfer the final product to a storage container of your choice, being sure not to over pack or the mixture will lose it's light texture.

  5. Step 5

Body butter can be applied directly to the skin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add a 1/2 ounce of your choice of essential oil when you add the vitamin e if you prefer scented body butter.
