Things You'll Need:
- Vehicle
- Brain
- Strong Will
-
Step 1
Eat at home. You will save tons of money cooking every night instead of hitting up fast food joints or restaurants every day. Incorporate more vegetables than meat to save even more cash.
-
Step 2
Offer your skills. If you have recently lost your job and can't find another one, do odd jobs for the people in your area. Put out some homemade flyers around town in whatever your niche is and you are sure to get some calls. Always offer your services at a lower price than your competitors to get business.
-
Step 3
Don't buy name brand. Name brand is always more expensive. Buy store brand you will save a lot of cash. It's essentially the same product either way.
-
Step 4
Be prepared. If you have the money, stock up on necessities such as water, canned goods, and medical supplies. There may be a shortage of these items in the future so its always best to be prepared.
-
Step 5
Brush up on your history. This is probably more important than anything I have said. If you want to survive the recession, study up on the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. Learn how people survived back then. That's why everything has a history. How else would we learn?
