If you want wheels to match the color of your car, then you should try Dupli-color wheel paint. This type of paint is of good quality. So let's get started on painting those wheels.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stuff you will need is degreaser, primer, two can of dark base coat, two cans of silver coat, and two cans of clear. We also need prep wipes, sand blasters, tack cloth, gloves, and masks.

  2. Step 2

First we need to wash the surface of the wheels. Wet the surface of the wheels slightly and apply degreaser to the wheels. Then use a rag to spread it around the surface of the wheels. Wash it out with water and let the wheels air dry.

  3. Step 3

Use a tack cloth to get rid of any dust when the wheels are completely dry.

  4. Step 4

Now we are going to prime the wheels. Put your mask on. Make sure the area is well ventilated. Now apply two even coats to the bare metal.

  5. Step 5

Use filler primer to fill in any rough surfaces.

  6. Step 6

Now we are going to sand the surface down a little bit. Use a sand block to sand the surface until it's smooth.

  7. Step 7

Use a tack cloth to get rid of all the sanding dust before putting on another coat of filler primer.

  8. Step 8

Now apply a second coat of filler primer.

  9. Step 9

After it's dry, Use a prep wipe to remove any grease before applying your first base coat.

  10. Step 10

Now apply the dark coat. Start off painting all the paves and corners. Turn the wheel frequently to get every inch. Paint the inside of the wheel if you want.

  11. Step 11

Now we are going to apply the light coats. Use light silver coats to lighten up the color of the wheels. You don't want your wheels to look really shiny.

  12. Step 12

Now apply the clear coats. First apply the coats lightly. Then go heavy. Make sure you get every inch. Wait for everything to dry. Then put them on in your car and go show off your new wheels.
