Popping a wheelie can be a lot of fun. But it can also be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. So learn to do it the right way. Follow the steps below and you will be popping wheelies in no time.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The most basic type of wheelie is the roll-on power wheelie. Start the bike. Put it in first gear. Don't switch to second gear. Ring the accelerator handle hard and the front end of the bike should lift off the ground slightly.

  2. Step 2

Roll off the accelerator when the bike lifts off or the bike will flip over. Now you are going to hold the handle bars straight as possible and when the bike lifts off, just roll off the accelerator by an inch. Just keep trying and the bike will eventually go higher. Don't go too high or the you could hurt yourself.

  3. Step 3

The next wheelie is the slipping the clutch wheelie. Now don't even attempt to do this type of wheelie until you have master the roll-on power wheelie. You could get seriously hurt doing the slipping the clutch if you are not experienced.

  4. Step 4

Now to do this wheelie, you are going to slip the clutch and do a slight acceleration at the same time. Unlike the roll-on power, you will not keep the accelerator steady.

  5. Step 5

So start off rolling the bike slowly and then rev the bike and at the same time slip the clutch. You should see the bike lift off and go down quickly. Practice doing this a couple of times. That's all there is to it. Practice makes perfect.
