Things You'll Need:
- damp or dry towel
- large towel
-
Step 1
Kitchen spillsWipe up the kitchen floor when there is a spill on the floors. Get a dry clean towel and toss it over the spill. Save money by not using an expensive paper towel. Use a kitchen towel ready to go into the washing machine. Use a size depending on the size of the spill. Put your foot on top of the towel and in a back and forth motion, wipe or wash a floor with your foot and a towel.
-
Step 2
use a grabberPut one foot on the spill, and the other foot on the linoleum or tile to wash floors. If you need to have support, hold on to the back of a kitchen chair. Start to tap on an inexpensive towel with a foot until the spill feels absorbed. Move the towel over the dirty floors. Lift the towel off the floor using a 'grabber', and place in the sink.
-
Step 3
Use another dry towel that is inexpensive as well. Wipe the floor to dry the wet area of the floor. Do not bend but use your foot to move the towel around until the floor appears to be dry. Wipe and wash the floor with a foot on a towel or a paper towel if you prefer.
-
Step 4
Wash floors using a towel to wash and remove dirt spots when unexpected company shows up at your front door. Wet a small sheet of paper towel and put your foot on top until it absorbs the spill or dirt spot. Then wipe the entire area until the floor shines. Allow to dry if it still is wet.

on 5/27/2009 If you don't have a grabber, you may have a long pair of kitchen tongs, which can help ease back strain from bending less, almost as well as the grabber can.
