When money is tight there are often sacrifices that need to be made in order to celebrate holidays and birthdays. Mother's Day is no different. • Construction Paper
• Markers
• Poem
• Frame

1. Write the poem. The first step in your free Mother's Day gift is the most difficult. Writing a unique poem listing all of the fantastic things mom does for you on a daily basis may seem like a hard task and it is, but just because this is a free Mother's Day gift does not mean it is an easy Mother's Day gift.

2. Trim the construction paper. After the poem is complete, or during a bout of writer's block, trim the edge of the construction paper so it will fit nicely into the frame.

3. Decorate the new edge. After the construction paper is trimmed, decorate the edge of the paper. The inner parts of the free Mother's Day card will hold the poem you just completed.

4. Rewrite, frame and finish. Writing the poem neatly in the middle of the construction paper will be the second most difficult part. Write neatly so mom will be able to enjoy her free Mother's Day gift. The finished poem can be placed in the frame and wrapped for mom on Mother's Day.
