One way to make your Ford car look like a racer is to install Ford Racing Bullitt pedals. These pedals are designed especially for The Ford Mustang models. So get rid of the original pedals and get some racing pedals in your Mustang.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use a small crow bar to force the dead pedal off. If the clips break off, don't worry about it as you will be putting on new pedals.

  2. Step 2

Get the new pedal. Line the clips up on new pedal with the mounting plate and push it down just enough so it doesn't fall off. Don't apply too much pressure or you could break the clips on the dead pedal.

  3. Step 3

Now use your foot to press the dead pedal into place.

  4. Step 4

Now remove the clutch and brake old pedals.

  5. Step 5

The accelerator pedal is a little more difficult to remove. It has a cable and two nuts that must be removed.

  6. Step 6

Use the pry bar to remove the cable and plastic retainer from the pedal. The cable can be found under the dashboard where the gas pedal is.

  7. Step 7

Use a ratchet to remove the two nuts that are on the side of the gas pedal. Then remove the pedal and bracket.

  8. Step 8

The pedal is held onto the bracket by a pin. Find a way to hold down the bracket and use a nail to hammer out the pin and remove the pedal from the bracket.

  9. Step 9

Reinstall the new pedal with the same pin and use the nail to hammer it back into place.

  10. Step 10

Mount up back the bracket by tightening the nuts and reattaching the cable.

  11. Step 11

install the new pedals in the clutch and brake. You will need to use some force to install them. Make sure you press down on all corners to ensure a secure fit.
