How To Build Horse Stalls, Horse Ring at your Home Yourself

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Land enough to build
  • Cement
  • Tape Measure
  • Shovel
  • Screw Driver
  1. Step 1

    1. Measure how big you want to make your stall. Depending on the size of your Horse or animals you want to stall. Usually they are about 20 feet by 20 feet.

  2. Step 2

    2. Order horse stall aluminum fence from a fence company. Either have them deliver which is the easiest or pick up yourself.
They are like a kit. Make sure you put the proper soil/sand down. Where the horses eat would be good to put a mat.

  3. Step 3

Lay out where you are going to put the fence.
    3. Mix up your cement and pour cement on each corner of fence.

  4. Step 4

    4. Set up fence poles into cement horizontally. Put fence in horizontally. There are holes to put screws in just need a screw driver to tighten.
Make sure there is one side of the fence that comes with a gate.

  5. Step 5

5.. If you have enough room you can do the same above steps to make a riding ring. Just make sure you have a chain and lock the riding ring because all the neighbors will want to use your ring which brings up legal matters plus alot of poop. Ring has to be sprayed with weed killer after the rainy season.

Tips & Warnings
  • Another job to put in is running water, a shed to hold the hay and a tack room.
  • Check with your Homeowner Association if you have to have matching roof to your roof, etc.
  • If your horse is very strong they will bend the poles (see picture).
