How to Wax Your Legs Like A Pro In No Time
For smooth legs that stay that way for a long time, use wax to remove the hair. The waxing process pulls the hair out at the follicle, meaning that it will take longer to grow back than with shaving. Waxing at home can be cost-effective as well. Proceed slowly and carefully, and you can get a salon-quality waxing for just a little money. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Exfoliant or loofah
- Hot wax
- Popsicle stick or wooden spatula
- Cloth strips
- Baby powder
- Post-wax cooling lotion
Instructions
-
-
1
Exfoliate your legs 24 to 48 hours before shaving to remove dead skin.
-
2
Heat the wax to the temperature recommended on the package. Usually the temperature will be around 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Test a small patch of skin to make sure the wax is not too hot.
-
-
3
Dust your legs with baby powder to absorb oil. Using the popsicle stick or spatula, apply the wax to your legs in the direction of hair growth. Work in sections big enough to be covered by the cloth strips.
-
4
Press the cloth strip on top of the wax. Rub it in the direction of the hair growth for a firm grip.
-
5
Pull the cloth from your legs quickly and as close to parallel to your leg as possible. Apply soothing gel or lotion to lessen the pain.
