Word bracelets aren't limited to childish plastic bead bracelets. Making a stretchy word bracelet using pewter alphabet beads and colorful glass beads is fun, easy and inexpensive.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Elastic cord
  • Pewter alphabet beads
  • Pewter toggle clasp
  • Glass beads
  • Pewter bead spacers
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Cut a section of 5 mm elastic cord to the desired length.

  2. Step 2

Spell out the word or words with the alphabet beads.

Create a pattern with the glass beads. Mirror the pattern on each end of the word. (The word should be in the center of the glass bead design.)

  4. Step 4

Insert the pewter spacers between each bead, including the letters.

  5. Step 5

Lay the elastic cord on a flat surface and thread each bead.

  6. Step 6

Attach the toggle clasp to each end of the cord. Secure each end of the clasp with a double knot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't lift the elastic cord from the flat surface, or the beads will fall off.
