Morpheus is a popular peer-to-peer file sharing program that allows users to download movies, images and audio. However after downloading the file sharing program, a toolbar becomes installed onto your web browser. This can be annoying because it can affect your computer's speed and performance. Removing the Morpheus toolbar is not difficult at all. Follow these guidelines.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the "Start" menu and click on "Control Panel," "Programs" and "Features." Remove and uninstall all Morpheus related files.

  2. Step 2

Run a spyware program, such as Adaware or Spybot. Update and scan your computer. Remove all infections. The Morpheus toolbar is considered to be spyware, so it is recommended to scan your computer for any spyware or malicious content.

  3. Step 3

Locate the Morpheus toolbar if you are still unable to remove it. Click the "Help" option on the toolbar and highlight "Uninstall the Morpheus Toolbar."

  4. Step 4

Open a registry editor, such as Eusing, and delete the following registry entry: 2AE38A2D-371B-42F3-B803-9F6D669A411B. Be sure to only delete this entry.

  5. Step 5

Close out of all programs and open windows. Restart your computer. The changes will be applied on the next boot.
