- Resume in the format of your choice. Email account

Type www.craigslist.org in the address bar of an Internet browser.

Choose a location where you would like potential employers to view your resume. You can post in more than one place. Select cities, states and countries on the right side of the website.

Scroll to the bottom of the page. Click the "resumes" link. On the resumes page, click "post" in the upper-right corner.

Click "resumes/job wanted." Choose an area, often defined by a telephone area code. There is no need to post in more than one area code, as your resume will be available to the entire metropolitan area you have designated.

Pick a title for your resume. Highlight your skills and talents in the title to grab an employer's attention.

Type your email address in the "reply to" area. Type it a second time to confirm. Decide if you want your actual email address to appear in your posting, or select "anonymize" if you would prefer an anonymous email address. The anonymous email address will link directly to your personal email account.

Open your resume and copy the contents of the document. Return to the browser and your Craigslist posting. Paste your resume contents into the "posting description" box. Click "continue."

Review your posting. Once satisfied, click "continue." If you need to correct something, click "edit" and revise the contents in the "posting description."

Read the "terms of use" agreement. Click "accept terms of use" to move forward.

Type in the security encoded words and click "continue." Your resume will post to the site in the designated region in approximately 15 minutes.
