Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't have a dryer, hang clothes outside on a line to dry. Use clothespins to keep clothes from falling off, and remove when clothes are dry. This works best on warm sunny days.
  • Underwear, panty hose and bathing suits can be hung over a towel rack or shower curtain rod to dry. You may wish to place a towel over the rack first.
  • Some clothes may shrink in the dryer, especially on high heat settings. Always check labels for drying instructions before putting clothes in the dryer.

on 8/8/2006 If you left the clothes in the dryer too long and they have wrinkles, just throw a damp hand towel in the dryer and start the dryer again until the hand towel is dry. This has worked every time for me.

on 11/22/2005 Adding a dryer sheet to a towel load makes the towels less absorbent. I skip the sheet and opt for a wrinkled absorbent towel.

on 11/22/2005 In between washing and drying, if it's possible, hang the clothes out to dry a little. Get some of the moisture out, then dry. It'll help the clothes to not shrink in the dryer. It takes time, but will save you money in the long run.
