How to Make a Diaper Belt
Baby showers once were only populated by the mother to be, but today, it is not uncommon for a Dad to attend the shower as well. A shower gift that you can give to a new father, especially a first time dad, is a diaper belt. These tongue in cheek gifts will allow the new dad to have everything he needs to change his new baby's diapers right at hand. This belt is inspired by tool belts. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Tool belt with wide pouches
- Fabric paint in a bottle with a tip for writing built into the lid
- Small diapers (newborn size)
- Tube of diaper rash cream
- Small travel container of diaper wipes
- Travel sized bottle of baby shampoo
- Baby rattle

Instructions

-
1
Lay the tool belt on a flat surface.
-
2
Use the fabric paint to write "Daddy's Diaper Belt" or "Tool Belt for Diaper Duty" across the belt on one of the front pockets.
-
-
3
Allow the fabric paint to completely dry.
-
4
Fill the pockets of the tool belt with the diaper changing paraphernalia. Put the diapers into the largest pocket of the tool belt. You might want to write "Diapers" on that pocket with the fabric paint.
Choose the pocket closest in size to the items you want to put into them. Equip the tool belt with the diaper rash cream, wipes, baby shampoo, rattle and gloves. -
5
Place the face mask gently folded, so there is not a crease made, into one of the pockets. The face mask is optional, but it adds a touch of whimsy to the diaper belt.
