How to Make a Raft from Foam Pool Noodles
We've all seen kids enjoying foam noodles in the pool. While they look like great fun, most adults would prefer something a little more stable to float on. Making a noodle raft is a fun project that will leave you with a raft big enough for one or two adults to float comfortably. It doesn't require much skill or talent to make a noodle raft, just some basic supplies and about an hour of your time.

1
Make six-inch interval marks on opposite sides of each foam noodle. Using the tape measure will ensure that the marks are the same on each noodle.
-
2
Snip a hole on each mark with scissors, don't make a large gash in the noodle, just a small hole that a rope can be worked through.
-
-
3
Lay the noodles out alongside each other and measure from one side to the other and add 4 inches to the measurement. This is how much rope you will need for each row of holes that you have made.
-
4
Cut lengths of rope to the size indicated when you measured.
-
5
Tie a knot in one end of the rope and thread the loose end through one row of holes across the noodles.
Repeat this process until you have a rope through each hole from one end of the noodles to the other.
-
6
Tie a knot in the remaining rope ends and trim off any excess. Your noodle raft is ready for fun.
