These days, it seems that most children begin using the home computer while they are still in diapers. There is a great deal of content available online that can help children learn, provide homework assistance and offer some harmless fun and contact with friends and family members. However, there are also numerous websites that children should not be viewing. Fortunately, Windows Vista offers built-in Parental Controls that make it easy for parents to block undesirable websites.

Tips & Warnings

  • Alternatively, select "Only Allow Websites on the Allow List" under "Allow and Block Specific Websites." This way you only have to enter the sites you know you want your child to view, rather than attempting to enter every single site you do not want them visiting.
