How to Make Moccasin Insoles

Moccasins are popular footwear, both as slippers and regular shoes. If you have a pair of moccasins that you would like to make into more comfortable shoes that can be worn while out and about, it is possible to make rubber insoles out of old inner tubes from a truck or a car. Learn how to make moccasin insoles to create warm and comfortable shoes that you will want to wear everywhere.

Things You'll Need

• Old Inner tube (from truck or car)
• Paper
• Pen
• Sharp, heavy-duty scissors
• Double-sided clear tape

Instructions

1. Draw the outline of both feet onto a piece of paper. Take the time to make sure that your drawing is accurate to the size of your feet.

2. Cut the outlines of your feet out of the paper with the scissors.

3. Cut apart the inner tube so that you have a flat section that is large enough to cut out your paper patterns.

4. Affix the paper foot outlines onto the inner tube with the double-sided tape.

5. Cut each foot outline out of the inner tube with the scissors. Remove the paper foot patterns from the inner tube insoles after cutting them out.

6. Fit the rubber insoles into your moccasins. They should fit snugly. If the insoles are not an exact fit, remove them and trim around the edges to make them fit perfectly.

7. Wear your comfortable moccasins.
