- Circular saw Safety glasses Ear protection Straight edge 2 clamps Tape measure 2 saw horses

Step 1
Remove the door from its frame and lay it flat on a pair of saw horses. Determine how much the door must be cut to open and close freely.

Step 2
Measure the door from the top and mark the new height on both edges of the bottom end of the door.

Step 3
Rigid Circular SawUse a straight edge to draw a straight line through both marks. Cut along the line with a circular saw. Have a helper hold the door in place so it doesn't slide around.

Step 4
Rehang the door in its frame. Open and close the door to test the new clearance height.
