Make mineral foundation makeup. You will need a tablespoon of splendid gold mica, half a tablespoon cornstarch, and a tablespoon of oriental beige mica. This recipe will make a mineral foundation perfect for fair to beige skin tones. Grind the mica in a coffee grinder to break down any clumps. You can also use a mortar and pestle for the grinding. Mix all of the micas and the cornstarch together until you have a uniform color. Store in a sifter jar for easy application.

Make creamy foundation makeup. You will need two tablespoons of cream base, a tablespoon of splendid gold mica, a tablespoon of oriental beige mica and half a tablespoon of sienna mica. This will make a good foundation for olive or slightly darker complexions. Grind the mica to remove any lumps or clumps. Blend the cream and mica together until you achieve uniformity in color. Make sure to blend thoroughly until the cream and mica are completely mixed together. Store in a glass jar for future use.

Make whipped mousse foundation. This is a light version of foundation that goes on light and still provides excellent coverage. You will need two tablespoons of cream base and mica or mineral pigments of your choice (you should experiment with different colored micas and pigments until you have created a matching shade for your skin). Grind the mica to remove any clumps. Blend it in with the cream base in a plastic mixing bowl. Then use an electric mixer to gently whip the mixture for about 15 minutes or until you have a nice creamy and frothy consistency. Store in a glass jar for future use.

Make concealer foundation makeup. Concealer is great for covering dark undereye circles or prominent pimples and scars. You will only need one tablespoon of cream base and unblended mica in shades that match your complexion. Note that concealer can be slightly lighter than your natural skin shade. Grind the mica, then blend it in with the cream base. Use a spatula to blend the ingredients together well. You can also use an electric mixer on low to whip the mixture until the color is uniform. Store in a glass jar for future use.

Tips & Warnings
You can adjust the amount of mica, pigment and cream base you use based on the type of consistency you want for your foundation makeup. Use more base than pigment if you want a more liquid consistency; use more pigment than base if you want a thicker consistency.
