How to Text With Cricket Cellphones

Sending a text message with Cricket wireless is really no different than sending a text message with any other wireless service. Follow the steps below and you will find it easy to send an SMS with your Cricket phone.

Instructions

1. Power up your phone on by holding down the red phone icon until the screen comes to life. If nothing happens, try charging the battery.

2. Press the "Menu" button on your phone. Your screen should show several icons arranged in a circle around the middle icon. The icon directly on top of that looks like an envelope. This is your mailbox. Push the navigation circle on the top so that the mailbox icon is highlighted, then push "Menu" again.

3. Look at the list of numbered features within your mailbox: (1)New Msg. (2)Inbox (3)Outbox (4)Drafts (5)Voicemail, etc. You need go no further than the first item. Go ahead and press the "1" on your keypad.

4. Enter the number you want to send to, then hit "Next" on the top left of your keypad.

5. Input your message, press the "Send" key in the upper left hand corner of your keypad and your text message is on its way to the lucky recipient.
