Instructions

  1. How to Make a Confetti Launcher

    • 1

Stack the tissue paper together and cut into small, tiny pieces using scissors. The various colored tissue paper will be the confetti that you place into the launcher. Load up the bowl with all of the tissue paper confetti. Cut the paper in lengthwise strips and then cut the strips into tiny pieces to make this process easier. Do it directly over the bowl so the pieces fall in with no need for cleaning up the tiny pieces off the floor.

    • 2

Cut out cardboard circles by placing the toilet paper roll onto the cardboard. Draw a circle around the open end of the toilet paper tube onto the cardboard. This is the size circle that you cut out of the cardboard. Each confetti launcher will need two pieces of cardboard. After cutting out the cardboard, make sure that the circle fits into the toilet paper tube when flat --- it will need to be tight but loose enough to move. Trim the cardboard circles if needed.

    • 3

Draw a line in the center of one of the cardboard circles. Use a pair of scissors to punch through the line to get a small opening in the circle. Slide a craft stick inside this opening --- it should fit tightly. The craft stick should stick out one end by 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. Glue around the base of the stick and the circle where they create a "T." Let the glue dry. Place the dried craft stick and circle base on one end of the toilet paper tube.

    • 4

Tip the toilet paper roll up and hold by the craft stick. Slowly fill the toilet paper tube with the confetti tissue paper. Use your fingers to pack the confetti down. Add as much of the bowl of confetti as possible. You can cut more tissue paper into small pieces to add more confetti if necessary. Fill the tube until it is 1/4 inch from the top. Add the other cardboard circle cut out to the top of the toilet paper tube encasing the confetti. The confetti launcher will almost resemble a large lollipop or a push-up pop.

    • 5

Launch the confetti by pushing the craft stick up through the toilet paper tube in a fast motion. The confetti will be launched into the air by how forcefully you push the craft stick through the toilet paper tube. Use the confetti launcher at surprise parties, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries or any holiday or event where confetti launchers can be used.

Tips & Warnings

  • Paint, color or glue craft paper to the outside of the toilet paper tube to make it look like a really cool confetti launcher.

  • When shooting the confetti launcher never point towards your own face or anyone else's.
