There are many options for closures in jewelry. You can purchase metal or wire closures, you can make your own metal or wire closures, or you can also make closures that incorporate some of the beads that you used to create the piece of jewelry. If choosing the latter option, you will be creating a closure that appears almost seamless with the rest of the bracelet or necklace. Learn how to make a beaded loop bracelet closure to finish your next jewelry project.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Strung bracelet (both ends unfinished and at least four inches of free beading wire)
  • Approximately 30 seed beads (color matching beads in the bracelet)
  • Large bead (12 mm in size, coordinating with other beads in the bracelet)
  • 2 crimp beads
  • Crimping pliers
  • Wire cutters
  • Tape measure
  1. Step 1

Center the beads on the length of beading wire.

  2. Step 2

Place a crimp bead, the 12 mm bead, and a seed bead onto one end of the bracelet.

  3. Step 3

Pass the beading wire back through the 12 mm bead and the crimp bead and tighten the wire.

  4. Step 4

Crimp the crimp bead with the crimping pliers and trim the excess beading wire at the crimped bead.

  5. Step 5

Place a crimp bead and then approximately 2 inches of seed beads onto the other end of the bracelet.

  6. Step 6

Pass the end of the beading wire back through the crimp bead to create a loop of seed beads.

  7. Step 7

Tighten the beading wire and crimp the crimp bead with the crimping pliers.

  8. Step 8

Trim the excess beading wire at the crimped bead to finish the bracelet.

  9. Step 9

Place the loop of seed beads around the 12 mm bead to close the bracelet.
