Look through all the types of airbrush kits available on the market today if you are looking for something specific. There are many airbrush kits that can be purchased with certain additions that you may not think of and can end up being cheaper than buying all the equipment separately. For example, kits can be purchased for cake and food decorating, car and motorcycle graphics, fashion purposes, wall/canvas mural painting, body painting and more.

Make sure you have the most essential items for the airbrush kit to start off with: the paints and the airbrush machine materials, such as the air compressor, hoses and spray guns. These types of equipment can be obtained from a tattoo store and numerous websites (see Resources) and are the most important for doing any sort of airbrush artwork. You can also obtain the following items at a paint superstore: brushes, paints, compressors, instructional DVDs and books, and graphics.

Visit an art supplies warehouse or store to obtain other necessary supplies for an airbrush kit, such as detailing brushes and knives, drafting tape, scratch boards and paper, stencils and a compass cutter. Other items you should add to the air brush kit include a ruler, pencil and pens, crayons, markers, stickers or other images, and a cup to wash out brushes and other supplies that get dirty.
