Make and send invitations entirely online using a site such as evite.com. On the home page, click on the invitation tab then choose "Housewarming" from the list of invitation types. Click on the style you want to create to see an enlargement, then confirm your choice. You will then be taken to the editing page.

Enter a title, theme and all pertinent address, date and time information in the appropriate boxes. Enter a personal message in the message box. Click on the "Invitation Options" menu bar to see a drop down menu of items such as asking guests to bring something, add music to your online invitation, create a URL for your invitation or state an ending time for the event. When finished adding options, click to save your draft, preview your invitation and to add guests. The preview screen shows you the invitation as it will appear to your guests. Click the "Edit" button when finished previewing. On the edit screen click on "Add guests" at the bottom of the screen. This takes you to the final step where you input email addresses of your guests and send the invitation.

Use an eCards site such as 123greetings.com and create eCards to send as housewarming invitations. On the home page, click on the "Invitations" tab. Many eCards with graphics suitable for a housewarming exist on this page. They also have blank text areas where you can input your housewarming details. Find a design that you like and click on it.

After clicking on it, preview the card then click "Send" if you want to continue with that design. On the next page, enter your name, email address, message with housewarming details and email addresses of up to 100 friends to whom you are sending the invitation. Choose a date for sending the eCard invitation then click "Send this Card" to send your eCard invitation.

Use a site such as express-invitations.com if you want to create invitations online and have them shipped to you. On the moving announcements page, click on "Housewarming Invitations." Choose a style of invitation and click on it to be taken to the editing page.

Enter the text of your personal message then choose the color and size of your font. Upload a photo if desired and preview it. After checking your preview, click on "Continue with Order." On the following page, decide if you want your return address printed on the envelopes and RSVP cards included. When satisfied with your invitation, confirm and click on "Continue with Order" to be taken to the payment page. A proof of your invitations arrives via email so that you can check it. The site offers free editing if anything is wrong on the proof.
