Car dealership decals: Do you know anyone (other than the dealers) who like them? They can be ugly and gaudy, and not everyone wants a sticker or raised emblem advertising where they made their purchase. But how do you take them off? A few different methods are available, and none of them are difficult.

Instructions

  1. Removing Dealership Decals

    • 1

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the panel where the sticker is located. If the panel is plastic, use the hair dryer because it has a lower heat range.

    • 2

Once the sticker is heated up, use a putty knife or your thumbnail to start scraping off the sticker. Most of the glue should be loose at this point, so pull off what you can.

    • 3

When the sticker is off, use Goo-Gone to remove the remaining residue. Apply the Goo-Gone to a towel and rub it over the residue.

    Removing Raised Dealership Emblems

    • 4

Take some dental floss and loop it around the dealership emblem.

    • 5

Slowly work the dental floss around the emblem until the emblem is removed from the vehicle.

    • 6

Use Goo-Gone to remove any glue residue from the body.
