How to Remove a Ceramic Liner From a Crock Pot

Crock pots provide delicious meals for family and friends and are fairly easy to clean. It is important to clean the ceramic liner from the crock pot after each and every use in order to give your pot the longest life as possible.

Things You'll Need

• Crock pot
• Ceramic liner
• Tongs

Instructions

1. Unplug the crock pot once you are done cooking food. You can keep the food in the ceramic lining while serving. Once you are completely done with it, remove all the food from the ceramic lining with a spoon or other utensil.

2. Let the crock pot cool completely before removing the ceramic liner.

   Using the tongs, lift each side of the ceramic edges and slowly lift up out of the metal body of the crock pot. Do this carefully and slowly so you do not drop the ceramic liner. Some liners have overlapping edges or handles to make it easier to remove the liner. In this case, you can lift it out with your hands once fully cooled.

• Make sure to let the crock pot fully cool before removing anything from the metal body.
