Instructions

    • 1
      Rubber Gloves

      Put on rubber gloves.

    • 2

Clear out all shampoo bottles, conditioner bottles, soap and other bathtub products from around the tub area. Make sure there is nothing left during the cleaning process.

    • 3
      Wet Tub and Shower Area

Wet down the surface of the tub and its surrounding area.

    • 4
      White Vinegar

Put some white vinegar into a spray bottle so that it can be sprayed all over the tub area. Spray the vinegar all over the tub area. Let it stand five minutes. Do not wash it away with water.

    • 5
      Two Sided Sponge

Wet your two-sided sponge. Squeeze a cream cleaner such as Soft-N-Scrub that will not scratch your tub, onto the rough side of the wet sponge. Begin scrubbing the tub area, going in circular motions and focusing on the parts around the faucet and drain areas. If your tub is surrounded by tile, focus on the grout area as well.

Add more cream cleanser to your sponge often, as it will dry out quickly.

    • 6
      Squeegy

After you have gone over the entire tub area with the cream cleaner, using the rough side of the sponge, spray the tub down with water, making sure to rinse it well so that a hazy residue is not left behind. Go over the tube and surrounding area with a squeegy.

    • 7

Wipe down side of the tub with a wet rag.

    • 8
      Glass Cleaner

Spray the tub with a glass cleaner. Wipe the glass cleaner off with a paper towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your tub has a lot of soap scum and hard water buildup, there are many household products on the market to help get rid of these problems, such as Kaboom. Use one of them first if your tub requires it, follow the directions according to the label and then proceed with the above steps for best results.

  • Always wear rubber gloves when cleaning your bathroom with cleaning chemicals.
