Full lace wigs are wigs that are as close to your own hair as possible. They are made of human hair and hand tied on a lace base one strand at a time. The wigs have a natural hairline, so you can part your hair or comb it back. The full lace wig is easy to take care of. Wash it when you want to remove setting lotions or the hair feels sticky. Store it on a Styrofoam wig head and keep it away from extreme heat.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Styrofoam wig head
  • T-pins
  • Detangling comb
  • 2 spray bottles
  • Shampoo
  • Wide tooth comb
  • Hair conditioner
  • Towel
  • Knot sealer
  1. Step 1

Place your wig on a Styrofoam wig head and secure it with T-pins.

  2. Step 2

Comb the wig to remove any tangles. Using your detangling comb, begin at the tips of the hair and work towards the base, so you don't disrupt the tied hair.

  3. Step 3

Add 1 tbsp. of shampoo in a small spray bottle and fill with lukewarm water. Place the Styrofoam wig head with the attached wig under cool water.

  4. Step 4

Spray on the shampoo mixture and distribute with the wide-tooth comb. Comb the hair starting from the ends and working toward the base.

  5. Step 5

Rinse the hair with cool water.

  6. Step 6

Add 1 tbsp. of conditioner to a small spray bottle. Fill it with lukewarm water.

  7. Step 7

Place your wig back under the cool running water and spray on the conditioner. Work the conditioner through the hair with the wide-tooth comb beginning at the ends and working toward the base.

  8. Step 8

Rinse the wig with cool water. Blot it with a towel.

  9. Step 9

Air dry or apply setting lotion and style. You may want to apply a knot sealer when the hair is dry. Simply expose the knots, mist and blow dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never comb or brush the wig starting at the base.
