How to Resolve the "Error on Page" Message

Some websites you visit will give you an "Error on Page" message when you are trying to access the site. Various reasons can cause this issue. Usually, the Internet browser you are using needs an update or is just not compatible with certain features on the site. If the browser is updated on the other hand, the webmaster that created the web page may have incompatible information that your browser cannot read.

Things You'll Need

• Internet Explorer
• Java Virtual Machine

Instructions

1. Open Internet Explorer. Select "Tools" from the menu and click "Internet Options."

2. Click the "Security" tab, and click "Default Level."

3. Click "OK" to continue.

4. Download the latest version of "Java Virtual Machine" from the Java website (see link in Resources).

5. Install the "Java Virtual Machine" software, following the installation instructions that will launch automatically after you download it.

6. Restart Internet Explorer.

7. Click the "Advanced" tab. Under Browsing, clear the box that states "Enable third-party browser extensions." Restart the computer.

8. Open Internet Explorer. Select the "Tools" menu, and click on "Internet Options."

9. Click the "Advanced" tab and select "Disable Script Debugging" in the Internet Options properties.
