Address an Envelope to Canada

It's not complicated to address an envelope to Canada. With a few minor differences, it's much the same as U.S. addressing--except Canada has provinces and territories instead of states, and a postal code instead of a ZIP code.

Instructions

    • 1

Write the person's name in the center of the envelope.

    • 2

Add the street address below the name, in all capital letters.

    • 3

Fill in the third line with the town (or city), the province (or territory) and the postal code, with one space between the city and province and two spaces between the province and postal code. The characters in the postal code should be in capital letters, with one space between the letters and numbers in the postal code.

    • 4

Finish the address with "Canada" on the last line.

      Sample:

      John Doe
      123 CHURCH STREET SOUTH
      Toronto Ontario ABC 123
      Canada

Insert your return address in the top left-hand corner or on the center back flap of the envelope, using the same format.
