Tie your shoelaces and make sure that your pants are long enough to cover them so they will be hidden from view.

Cut a hole in the bottom of one of the pockets in your jeans. You'll have to turn them inside out first to do this.

Attach onto a retractable key chain a pair of shoelaces long enough to reach from the pocket of your jeans down to your shoes. These key chains allow whatever is attached to be pulled out, and then snapped back by pulling the string or pushing a button.

After threading the key chain and shoelaces through the inside of your pants leg and through the hole you cut, attach a safety pin to the clip of the key chain and pin it to the inside of your pants pocket.

Arrange the laces so they hang out, but the already-tied laces are hidden by your pants. Press the button. The laces should pull up into your pants. If they are still visible, tie them again so less shows--that way, when you push the button on the pulley, they will disappear from sight.

Perform the trick by setting up as described in Step 5. Keep both hands in your pockets so no one will notice when you push the button. Wiggle your foot around as if you're trying to cross the laces over each other to tie them. Make sure not to wiggle so hard that your pants leg raises up, showing the already-tied laces.

Shake your foot faster, and when you are shaking it as hard as possible, press the button to activate the pulley in the key chain. Once the laces are out of sight, put your foot down and pull up your pants leg just enough to let the already-tied laces fall out.

Tips & Warnings
If your keychain doesn't have a button, pull the string in your pocket out slightly and let go quickly to cause the key chain to snap back with the laces.
