Things You'll Need:
- Gloves
-
Step 1
Lay the dual chains on the ground directly behind the dual wheel tire of the wheel that receives drive power, with any hooks or exterior traction bars facing down.
-
Step 2
Back the truck onto the dual tire chains until the tire is situated in the middle of the chains.
-
Step 3
Grab the ends of the tire chains and begin to work them up and over the wheel. This will take a little effort, since the tire chains are going to be fastened tight to the wheel.
-
Step 4
Connect the interior side connectors first by securing the latch system on both ends of the chains. If there is a middle chain, make sure this lies in between the dual wheels.
-
Step 5
Fasten the outside connectors to secure the chains to the wheels. Be sure the chains are very tight and the outside chain rests evenly along the rim of the tire.
