Things You'll Need
- Microwave oven
- 1 gallon (4-qt.) microwave safe bowl
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper or wax paper
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup toasted pecan halves
- 1 tbsp. room temperature butter
Instructions
-
-
1
Place three layers of wax paper or parchment paper on top of the baking sheet.
-
2
Mix the brown sugar and whipping cream in the large, microwave-safe bowl.
-
-
3
Place the bowl into the microwave and heat on high power, uncovered for 12 to 13 minutes.
-
4
Coat the end of the spoon with cooking spray. This will keep the sugar from sticking to the spoon.
-
5
Remove the bowl from the microwave, carefully. Stir in the butter and pecans using several rapid strokes with the spoon. You need to work quickly since the pralines will begin to harden as soon as the sugar and cream mixture is pulled from the microwave.

6
Drop spoonfuls of the praline mixture onto the top layer of wax or parchment paper.
-
7
Let the pralines cool completely at room temperature before wrapping individual pieces in wax paper or parchment paper for storage.
