Step 1
Uninstall the iTunes program. The best way to uninstall iTunes is to click "start menu" on your desktop, followed by "program," "iTunes" and then "uninstall iTunes." Each application on your computer will have an uninstall executable file. This will walk you through the uninstall process.
-
Step 2
Continue the uninstall process by agreeing to uninstall the program. The program will ask you if you are sure that you would like to remove iTunes. Click "continue" to move to the next step.
-
Step 3
Finish the uninstall process. Once iTunes is uninstalled, a notification display saying that iTunes has been properly uninstalled will appear. Click "OK" once you have read this notification.
-
Step 4
Check to make sure that everything has been properly uninstalled. You can do this by making sure that the iTunes is no longer listed in your applications folder. Further, you can check to make sure that the music files associated with iTunes have also been deleted. Finally, you can check your hard drive memory to see whether you have freed up hard drive space. This should help determine whether you have completed the uninstall process correctly.
