Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. of almond extract
  • 5 cups of flour
  • 2 tsp. of baking powder
  • 1 tsp. of salt
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixer
  • Cookie sheet
  • Rolling pin
  • Cookie cutters
  • Decorations (optional)
  • Frosting (optional)

Instructions

      Soften your butter by leaving it on your counter one hour before you are ready to make your rolled sugar cookies.

      Add butter and shortening to your mixing bowl and combine until creamy.

      Add sugar to the mixing bowl and combine.

      Stir in eggs, flour, vanilla extract, almond extract, baking powder and salt. Mix on medium speed until all of the ingredients are combined.
