How to Put Notes Onto an IPod Video

IPods are equipped with built-in hard drives that allow users to store media files. However, some people make better use of the hard drive by storing other types of files, including notes.

      Enable your iPod Video for disk use. Connect your iPod to iTunes and a summary screen will pop up. The last check box will read, "Enable for disk use." Make sure that this box is checked.

      Create and save a note through the notebook application on your computer. Regardless of your operating system, you will want to use a program that can create a .txt file.

      Open your iPod folder under "My Computer." Since you have enabled your iPod for disk use, you will be able to access the hard drive to your iPod.

      Open the notes folder and drag the .txt file you would like to place on your iPod into the notes folder.

      Disconnect your iPod from iTunes and find the note on your iPod. You can find the note by clicking the menu entitled "Extras" and then choosing "Notes."
