Things You'll Need:
- Pizza stone
- Sponge or paper towel
-
Step 1
Let the pizza stone cool completely to room temperature before attempting to clean it. A rapid change from hot to cold can cause pizza stones to crack.
-
Step 2
Use a scraping tool (like a spatula) or bristle brush to remove any stuck-on bits of crust or toppings that remain on the stone.
-
Step 3
Use a clean damp sponge or paper towel to wipe the pizza stone down.
-
Step 4
Allow the stone to soak in warm water for a half an hour to make sure it is completely saturated. Do not add soap.
-
Step 5
Set the pizza stone in a dish-drying rack and allow to air dry.
