Find the right digital camera. An 8-megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera works well because most models feature several useful functions for photography and video production. Make sure the camera has a memory card with at least 2 gigabytes.

Find a suitable place to shoot your video. The environment you choose will make a huge difference. Most digital cameras have flashes, but they are only for taking photos. Your location must be a well-lit room or outdoors.
