- Terracotta azalea pot
- Burgundy acrylic paint
- Crackle medium
- Gold metallic acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Floral foam brick
- Serrated knife
- Hot glue gun

- Floral pins
- Dried baby's breath
- Dried status
- 12 to 24 burgundy silk rosebuds
- Wire cutters
- 5 yards, 1 inch wide wire inch gold ribbon
- Craft wire to tie bow
-
Step 1
Paint the outside of the azalea pot with the burgundy paint. Repeat if necessary. Allow the paint to dry. Apply the crackle medium over the burgundy paint and allow to dry and become tacky. Paint the gold metallic acrylic paint over the crackle medium and allow the finish to crack and dry. The burgundy paint will show through the cracks in the gold metallic paint.

Step 2
Cut the floral foam brick with a serrated knife so it will fit inside the azalea pot. Apply hot glue to the inside bottom of the azalea pot and insert the floral foam brick. Cover the floral foam with Spanish moss and secure using floral pins. Remove the trunk or the feet from the artificial Christmas tree. Apply hot glue to the underside of the bottom tree branches and the bottom tip of the post that runs through the tree center. Insert the post tip in the center of the floral foam and press the tree down into the pot. This will allow the hot glue from the tree branches to adhere to the floral foam and Spanish moss to stabilize the tree.

Step 3
Unbend and arrange the branches on the Christmas tree. Cut 3 to 4 inch bunches of stems from the dried baby's breath and status. Dip the ends of the status stems in the craft glue and insert them among the branches on the Christmas tree. Space and arrange the status branches all over the tree.
Dip the ends of the baby's breath stems in the craft glue and arrange them in the branches of the tree.
Cut the stems of the silk rosebuds 3 inches long using the wire cutters. Dip the ends of the silk rosebuds in the craft glue and space them around the tree in the branches. -
Step 4
Cut 2 pieces of the 1 inch wide wired ribbon in 1 yard lengths. Tie the center of one ribbon around the top of the tree and allow the ends to trail down. Turn the tree half way and tie the center of the other ribbon around the top of the tree and allow the ends to trail down. Form a loopy bow with the remaining 3 yards of gold ribbon and attach to the top of the tree.
