Place the lamp shade on its side at a corner of the fabric.

    • 3

    • 4

Remove the lamp shade and set it aside.

    • 5

Add 1 inch to each side of the lamp shade pattern that you drew onto the fabric and cut out the pattern from the fabric.

Spread newspapers onto your work surface to protect your work area.

    • 7

Spray the adhesive onto the wrong side of the fabric lamp shade piece according to the directions on the product. Leave the fabric piece spread out on the newspaper.

Place the lamp shade onto one edge of the fabric. Beginning at the seam of the lamp shade, carefully begin to roll the lamp shade onto the fabric.

    • 9

Smooth and roll the fabric onto the lamp shade, working slowly and carefully until the entire shade has been covered with the fabric.

    • 10

Press the edges of the fabric to the inside of the lamp shade. It may be necessary to place clothespins along the edges of the lamp shade while the spray adhesive is drying.

    • 11

Hot-glue the decorator trim along the top and bottom of the lamp shade to finish it.
