How to Clean Resin Patio Chairs

Resin patio furniture is an investment that just keeps paying back because you get so many years of use from it, with very little care. Even if you do happen to be one of those people who stores their resin patio furniture out of the weather, it does become dingy looking just from summer rains or inadvertent spills. Fortunately, cleaning them up takes little time and they will look new when you're done. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Orange oil
  • Household bleach
  • Laundry detergent
  • Sponge
  • Old toothbrush
  • Scrubbing brush

Instructions

    • 1

      Spray orange oil on the furniture legs and any part of the furniture that has a smooth surface. Wipe it with a clean cloth to remove all of the soil.

      Mix 1/4 cup of bleach, 1 tablespoon of laundry detergent and 1 gallon of hot water. Use this solution to clean the textured surfaces of the furniture. Sponge the hot water onto the surface and use the appropriate size brush to get into the deeper grooves.

      Rinse the patio furniture with the hose and wipe it dry.

      Place a small amount of orange oil on a clean cloth to coat the surface. This keeps soil from sticking onto the surface.
