  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

      Combine 1 3/4 cups of flour, 2 tsp. of baking powder, 1/2 tsp. of baking soda and 1/2 tsp. of salt in a medium mixing bowl.

      Combine the 3/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of applesauce and 2 eggs in another bowl. Beat the mixture vigorously with a whisk until it is frothy.

      Add 1 cup of mashed bananas to the applesauce mixture and continue to beat it with whisk.

      Fold in the flour mixture and the nuts. Stir the batter with a spoon until it is thoroughly blended.

      Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
