Instructions

  1. Construct the Ramp

    • 1

Cut the tabs off of the open end of an empty cereal box.

    • 2

Cut slits in the cereal box along all four sides at the seams like in the picture. The slits should run almost halfway down the box.

    • 3

Place the box on a flat, solid surface with the open end facing downward.

    • 4

Place pressure on the box, forcing it downward so that the flaps produced by the slits extend outward as seen in the picture.

    • 5

Tape the box down in this position.

    Construct the Rail

    • 6

Take one of the tabs that you cut off of the cereal box in Step 1 of Section 1.

    • 7

Cut out two rectangular shapes from this tab. They should be about four inches by two inches.

    • 8

Tape the two rectangles to the top of the cereal box. The rectangles should be about a pencil's length apart and should be taped down in the same manner as in the picture. These tabs will act as the base of the rail.

    • 9

Arrange the pencil so that it sits on top of the rail base and tape it in position.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful when taping the pencil to the rail base. Too much tape will interfere with the fingerboard's ability to grind.

  • You should construct your ramp in a place where it is out of the way, otherwise you'll have to be constantly retaping the bottom of it.
