If you're looking for a very small pistol as a reserve weapon, the Ruger LCP is a great choice. It hold six shots plus one chambered round and is meant as a fall back or deep concealment gun, not necessarily as a primary firearm. The suggested retail price is slightly less than three hundred and fifty dollars, but many people have been obtaining them for just under two hunderd and fifty, brand new out of the box. Here are some things that you can do to avoid paying top dollar for a new Ruger LCP.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shopping at gun shows is one way to get a really good price on a Ruger LCP. There are many different booths with vendors and sellers that have excellent prices and offers. A lot of times the volume of business that dealers do at gun shows affords them to be able to sell firearms at little bit of a reduced cost, and they want to sell guns at the shows too so they tend to set their prices a little lower to begin with.

  2. Step 2

If you've got any old guns in your collection that don't have any particular sentimental or collector value, then it might be a good time to trade them in on a new Ruger LCP. This can be a way for you to essentially pay nothing if you have one or more guns of equal value.

  3. Step 3

Gun purchasing isn't any different than a lot of other things in that you can negotiate on the prices. If you've got a gun shop that wants to make a sale or needs to meet their numbers, then you are in a a really good position to get an awesome deal on a Ruger LCP.

  4. Step 4

It might be hard to find a used Ruger LCP right now because the gun is fairly new, but if you just can't seem to find a great deal on a new one then a used Ruger LCP isn't a bad thing to consider buying. With the Ruger reputation, you know that it will last and remain a quality firearm.
