These days money is tight, and it can be difficult to fit dining out into the budget. There are many ways to make dining out more affordable. Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  • Coupons
  • Newspaper
  1. Step 1

Drink water when you go out to eat at a restaurant! Soft drinks often can be at least $2.00. A family of four can save at least $8-$10 by ordering water with their meal.

  2. Step 2

If you have children, go to restaurants that offer specials for children. Many places have free kid's meals on certain days. Ask your favorite restaurants if they participate in a free kid's meal day.

  3. Step 3

Check the coupon section of your newspaper especially on Sundays for restaurant savings. Many restaurants like IHOP and Sweet Tomatoes put money saving coupons in the coupon section of the newspaper.

  4. Step 4

Look online for coupons to your favorite restaurants. I recommend going to the official site of the restaurant. This will help ensure that the coupon you find and print out is legitimate.
